Following confrontations with Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran, Israel now appears poised for conflict with Jordan.
Israel’s resolve for a decisive clash aimed at extinguishing terrorism has intensified. After encounters with Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran, Israel is now seemingly braced to confront Jordan. Recently, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated two militants who had infiltrated Israeli territory, disguised in Jordanian military attire. The IDF confirmed the event, stating that the infiltrators, donning Jordanian army uniforms, opened fire when asked to halt, leading to their immediate neutralization.
The point of entry for these intruders is heavily fortified with multiple layers of barbed wire.
Initial investigations by the IDF have concluded that the intruders were not Jordanian soldiers but terrorists camouflaged in Jordanian military uniforms. Their identities remain undetermined, with ongoing efforts to verify their backgrounds. The border crossing point where they entered Israel had several layers of barbed wire, which they severed with wire cutters.
One of the militants was shot dead instantly by Israeli forces.
Upon receiving intelligence regarding the breach, IDF soldiers were deployed to the location. The terrorists were found approximately three meters within Israeli territory, close to the border. The first was killed instantly by Israeli gunfire, while the second, attempting to flee, was taken down roughly 100 meters from the scene. In the exchange, the terrorists fired eight rounds, injuring two Israeli soldiers.
The terrorists likely aimed to strike a nearby greenhouse area in Neot HaKikar, IDF suspects.
The Israeli army suspects that the terrorists intended to target the greenhouse zone near the Neot HaKikar community. The IDF believes the assailants might have aimed to disrupt the Tamar Festival, held during Sukkot, located some 50 kilometers from the intrusion site. Furthermore, reports suggest that a third militant may have been involved, prompting an ongoing search for the remaining accomplice.
