BJP Seeks Meeting with LG as 48 MLAs, 7 MPs Prepare for Delhi Govt Formation.
After securing a massive victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially sought a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva has written a letter to the LG requesting an appointment to meet with the newly elected 48 MLAs and seven MPs as soon as possible.
In his letter, Sachdeva stated:
“I, along with the BJP MPs of Delhi and our newly elected 48 MLAs, would like to meet you at the earliest. Please grant us time at your convenience.”
This request comes as the BJP prepares to assume power in Delhi after a gap of 26 years, following a resounding victory in the February 5 Assembly elections.
BJP’s Historic Win Over AAP and Congress
The Delhi Assembly elections saw a significant political shift, with BJP defeating the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and securing a majority in the 70-seat assembly.

With the BJP set to form the government, speculation is growing over who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi. Several senior leaders who emerged victorious in the elections are being considered for the top post.
One of the key names in discussion is Pravesh Verma, son of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma. Verma gained national attention after defeating AAP convenor and three-time Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by a huge margin. His victory is being seen as a significant political shift in the capital.
